Storage Solutions For Teenage Girls

Storage Solutions For Teenage Girls

Some teenage girls are naturally tidy, with a sparkling room, made bed, and colour-coded wardrobe.

I was not one of those teenage girls.

My room looked like a dodgy fashion bomb had hit it. Jeans and tops hung over a chair, make up sprawled over my desk and shoes cluttering the floor.

I have a feeling my room would have been tidier, and my parents happier, if I'd had some funky storage solutions to hide everything away. These storage bags (right) would have been right up my street, with their mix of vintage chic and cute designs. Teenagers can fill them up with their shoes and accessories, and then hang them on the back of their door or display them with pride. They're £20 each.

That's not the only storage solution that caught my eye though...

These cupcake storage pots are just big enough to store lots of hair accessories or nail varnishes. They're £22 from online store Bombay Duck.

Another find from Bombay Duck is the set of three shoe storage boxes. The boxes are perfect for storing flip flops over the winter, and furry boots over the summer, and are £29.36 for the full set.

Laura Ashley have been surprising me lately with some really pretty items, like this set of three boxes with a classy oriental print. The set is £30, and would be ideal for storing away schoolwork and stationery.

This pretty glass jewellery box from Jijikiki.co.uk comes with pink flower detail and space for all those charm bracelets and other bits of jewellery. The box is £16 and would be a great Christmas gift too.

Finally, these two boxes from a placeforeverything.co.uk are funky without being too girly. They come with a blackboard section to add your own label for the contents, which is a clever touch. Although they're recommended for CDs, I think they'd be great for storing all sorts and they're a bargain at £10.
