A New York nurse has surrendered her license after pleading guilty to taking inappropriate photos and video of incapacitated patients, state officials announced.
Kristen Johnson used her iPhone in 2014 to take several pictures of a patient's penis and to film an exposed female patient who was being cleaned and treated for a gastrointestinal blood clot, Syracuse.com reported. Johnson reportedly shared the content with other nurses.
Authorities arrested the 27-year-old in May. Johnson pleaded guilty in November to misdemeanor disseminating of unlawful surveillance photos while working at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
She did not argue to being morally unfit for practice, according to the state's Education Department.
As part of a plea deal that reduced an initial felony charge, she will serve three years probation, local outlet WRGB reported.
